Bootable USB Drive

The processes explained in this tutorial requires a blank USB drive. Steps will be shown on how to format the drive properly. Any existing data on the drive WILL be lost. You have been warned.

GUI-based Method - Windows Bootable

Step 1

Begin by downloading and installing the following Microsoft Program here This works for both Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Start the program, then navigate to the location of your Windows 7/8 Iso image and select it using the browse button on the program.


Step 2

In this tutorial, we are going to be selecting the USB option.

This program works for both USB and for DVDs when creating Windows installation media (Windows Only).


Step 3

Ensure that you select the correct USB Drive denoted by the green arrow to be used as the installation media.

When you are sure you are ready, press "Begin Copying" denoted by the red arrow to begin.
